Privacy Policy

At Emtithal we are committed to protecting the privacy of our users — engineers and engineering offices. This policy explains the types of information we collect when you use the platform, how we use and protect it, and the choices available to you to control it.

We collect different types of information to provide and improve the compliance-analysis service:

• Account information: name, email and employer.
• Project data: the drawings and engineering files you upload for analysis and matching against the Saudi Building Code.
• Usage data: sign-in logs, device and browser type, and the pages you browse within the platform.

• Operating the platform, analyzing your drawings and catching non-compliance early.
• Improving the quality of matching results and the accuracy of our checking rules.
• Enhancing and developing our products with the data you upload, as the Terms & Conditions state.
• Contacting you about your account, updates and technical support.
• Complying with regulatory requirements in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

We do not sell your data or drawings to any third party. We share limited information only with the service providers below, who work on our behalf under contract and each receive only what their task needs, or where there is a legal obligation or an official request from a competent authority.

• Cloud hosting: stores and processes your account, drawings, results and their backups, and sends our emails.
• Payment processing: handles card payments and issues your tax invoices; we never see or store your card number.
• Sign-in with an outside account: if you choose it, that account's provider confirms your identity to us.
• Error reporting: technical details of errors in the platform, linked to your internal account number, with names, email addresses and file contents removed.
• Usage analytics: only with your consent (section 8).
• AI model hosting: answers your questions in the assistant. It receives your question and the findings it explains, never your drawings.
• Our team's email: holds the messages you send us.
• Service status page: if you subscribe to its alerts, it holds your email address.

We store and process your data outside the Kingdom: your account, drawings, results and their backups in Frankfurt, Germany (European Union); error reports, usage analytics and the assistant's requests in the European Union; and status page subscriptions in Ireland (European Union).

We apply technical and organizational security measures to protect your data, including encryption of data in transit and at rest, and restricting access permissions to authorized staff only.

We retain your information and drawings for as long as your account is active, or as needed to provide the service and meet regulatory obligations, and you may request deletion of your projects at any time.

We keep backup copies of your data and drawings in Frankfurt, Germany (European Union), with our cloud hosting provider, for at most 35 days; they are then deleted automatically. So something you ask us to delete may remain in these copies until they expire, and is then deleted from them too.

• Access your personal data and request a copy of it.
• Correct or update inaccurate information.
• Request deletion of your account and associated data.

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to remember your preferences and your choice in the cookie banner.

Only with your consent, we run a usage analytics tool, including session recording, and link its data to your account and email address while you are signed in. Recordings hide on-screen text and what you type, and block the drawing viewer, the file upload areas and the settings forms. The analytics provider stores this data in the European Union, outside the Kingdom, and sets its own cookies.

The cookie banner asks about Analytics and Marketing. Both appear switched on in its settings before your first choice, but neither runs until you press “Accept all” or save your choice. We use no marketing tool today.

We keep your analytics choice with the version of the consent notice you were shown and the time you made it, and link it to your account while you are signed in, so it follows you across your devices and our sites under aisc.sa. You can change it or withdraw your consent at any time in “Privacy settings” below, or in Settings once you are signed in.

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our services or regulatory requirements, and we will notify you of any material changes through the platform or by email.

By uploading any data to the platform, you grant Emtithal the right to use that data to enhance and develop its products, as the Terms & Conditions state. The check results you see still come from defined checking rules.
